topic Improve running time of scripts? in Fusion Electronics Forum

New to Fusion 360 (long-time Eagle user), I'm attempting to use some scripts we've developed for doing LED matrices in Fusion 360. While the scripts are actually executing just fine, they are running incredibly slowly. It appears that the "command helper windows" are being animated even while a script is executing, and this is perhaps slowing things down significantly.

The board script was a good bit slower than the schematic script, but both took a while.

Here is video of the script in action: https://twitter.com/BenPeoplesInd/status/1243251969990459400

It took a total of 30 minutes to run this script, which consists of 3441 commands, so took about half a second to execute each command (on average).

Here's a few excerpts (proprietary, so I'd like to not post the whole script):

<LI-CODE lang="c">MOVE LED18 (68.0 0.0);
MOVE LED19 (72.0 0.0);
