Layers preset

Hi,

I've got an issue, with my presets. When I select on the "selection filter" windows the "preset" nothing change on the view...

If I'm using the menu bellow, it's ok, it's working...

My question is, (if the menu"selection filter" is just an selection and don't change the view), How can I configure some quick access to my different preset ?

For exemple, on previous version, i've got an script with a menu definition for each preset. But it seems doesn't work with f360...

I hope you are doing well.

For Selection Filter, your understanding is right.

#The menu"selection filter" is just an selection and don't change the view#

It means that if you select layers in selection filter, then only the items in the selected layers can be selected. And it can't change the view.

For Layers preset, the general workflow is:

1. Click Display icon

2. Select the Layers you want to display (The selected layer will become bule)

3. Click New Set -> Give it a name -> OK

4. In the Drop down list, choose the set name you make before, then only the layers you choose in #2 will display

Thank you for your quick answer.

Your procedure work well to create a "layer set".

But when I want to change from an layer set to another one, I have to go to clic on layers, choose my preset, and clic ok.... It's lot to switch from one to antoher cause during the layout we have to switch a lot.

Is there a way to configure, like on the previous version, some quick access ? like a "menu" who contain the preset ? or shortcuts ?

I think I'm close to the solution...

I saw this documentation about menu and script :

So I think the script menu like I've done for previous version could be readable.

To test the menu function, I created the "menu.scr" as the example given on the link upove and put it on my folder script (USER/DOCUMENT/FUSION 360/SCRIPT)

But I cannot see the custom menu apear on fusion 360 when I restart it... Also I tried to launch it manually but nothing...

Any idea ?

I am sorry that Fusion can't support the menu or shortcuts to access preset now.

So far, I think the change layer set in the Display dialog may be the only way to change to Layer preset.

Hi ludovic.montanier,

This is not a solution, but by using hotkeys you can save yourself at least one click. With Hotkey you are able to assign a keyboard key to a particular command. In this example, I assign F12 to the display command.

So I will continu to try to deployed this version...

Is there a file where I can write my configuration, like all preset, color etc whitout configure on fusion but write on notpad for example ? Like a script that I can export/Import ? (eagle.scr ?)

As I know, Eagle will not read script automatically even if you put it in 'Special Path'. If you can do it in Eagle side, please leave you steps and your path. I will check if it has same way in Fusion.

Finally, I am not sure if it will help you. If you want to set special display to special file. A way is to change it in the file's xml (Open the special file with txt). It is not a good way. If you need, you may have a try. And it will only work for the special file but not affect the Fusion/Eagle Display settings.

When I begin a new job, I lunch manually the script to adapt, colors, layers, presets, etc.... (And to answer to your question, yes, previous version of Eagle, read durong the booting the "Eagle.scr" on default script path) The only things missed is to change quickly from an preset to another... The faster way at the moment is to enter the command line "DISPLAY + First letter of my preset" For example "DISPLAY J" display my preset name "J_Assembly_Top".
