Need a feature to make Panels in an easy way, also polygon pour isn't working !

The polygon pour on a panel only shows the dashed outline. (ranking is done OK, Copying included all layers)

This was earlier reported by another user, strangly reported as solved?

It is also a crime to make these panels (milling, V-cut)

Why is there no dedicated layer for V-cuts?

I did use layer 56 for V-cuts but it seems there is a bug in the Cam processor not showing that layer...

I hope you're doing well. I'm experiencing deja vu, I feel like I answered this thread already. So first off, there is not enough room for the polygon fill to go through the gaps in the milling. Additionally, note the color change on the individual PCBs which means the board shapes are not being detected properly, which is also contributing to the polygons not filling through.

For the vCut, while we get layer 56 sorted you can use any layer above 100 for the same purpose and it should show in the CAM processor. We do not have official support for panelization within Fusion, so I'll add your comments to the existing request for a proper panelization workflow in Fusion.

DID YOU REALY LOOK AT THE PICTURE , THERE IS A POLYGON ON THE PCB's THAT HAS A DASHED OUTLINE WHICH NEED TO BE FULLY FILLED AND HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE OTHER HATCHED COPPER FILL ON THE PANEL OUTSIDE THE PCB's.

PLEASE TRY TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM YOURSELF!!

Hi @PeterA4L,

Would you be willing to share the file for review? It wouldn't leave Autodesk and would only be used for testing purposes. I won't be able to reproduce the issue without your file, we would need to check how those internal polys are setup. If there is in fact a bug, the developers will need the file to test the fix anyway.

You asked me to share a test file. I can't even add a fusion design!!!!!

The file type (.fbrd) is not supported.

This is really strange as we are in a FUSION forum.

I will have to export a EAGLE 9.X brd file... ( the problem is in FUSION so why can't I send a .fbrd file?)

When you upload this Test_Panel:

Note that you can't push the traces with Push violators on.

Note that the polygon fills inside the 3 PCB's are not filled ( In EAGLE this works)

Please let me know if I need to clarify it futher.

Hello @PeterA4L,

The EAGLE 9 export won't work since it doesn't contain all of the new functionality of Fusion Electronics. Zip up the fbrd file and then upload the zip file. That way I will have a file as close as possible to what you actually created.

Still you didn't answer why I can't upload a .fbrd (without zipping), but i can upload a .brd (eagle file) which is twice the size of a .fbrd

This is "weird" as Tim Walz would say...

You often cannot attach a .f3z either and that is an already zipped file. You'll have to zip that file again.

The reason for that is the forum software isn't quite up to snuff.

There are other Autodesk forums where you can complain about hat 😉

I think I am in the wright place with my remarks (FUSION ELECTRONICS) why would I try to upload a .fbrd file in another forum.

That the forum software isn't quite up to snuff, is (maybe) a reason to complain.

That is also the use of Forums...

I think the moderator of this forum can relay the message to make the drag and drop more intuitive.

You misunderstood what I wrote. Zip the .fbrd file and attach it to a post in this thread in this forum.

Hello @PeterA4L,

I hope you're doing well. There is a lot to unpack here. First, Circles don't work properly as board outlines. Replace the circles with 2 arcs and you'll see the behavior of the polygon fill. The other thing I would recommend is to right click on the outline once it's been turned into 2 arcs and then select Convert to polygon. That will get you the internal polygon fill. You also have to turn off the Board detect shape feature, you can find it under Preferences > Electronics.

Try it and let me know if it works better for you.

We need an optimized workflow for panels.

Hi Jorge,

That is clearly a bug because in the migration manual from Eagle to Fusion allows it (see picture).

- Replacing circles with 2 arcs and convert to polygon got me an internal polygon fill of the board outline. That is not usefull

- turn off the Board detect shape feature gives floating orphans with orphans not selected (see picture)

That is creating another problem...

I hope you're doing well. I'll put in a bug report for this. So for the first point, I understood this is what you wanted. Could you post of picture of how you want things to be filled? There are multiple polys interacting in this file so I want to make sure I get them right.

For the second situation , I don't think the orphan is caused by the board shape function being disabled. If you want to avoid it you have to refine the polygon outline. These issues are why a proper panelization workflow is needed.
