The new overall push and shove feature is nice. However still too buggy.

During a average workday after this update, I have somewhere between 5 to 15 crashes...

😞

Is there a way to revert this update and come back to it, when it is stable?

Hi @D-NGK

I hope you are doing well.

Sorry for the crash isse for Push and Shove. Can you please attach the 2d PCB file which you meet crash and describe the steps when you meet the crash? It will help our developers to fix this issue as soon as possible. Thank you very much!

And the temp workaround for stopping Push and Shove is that you can choose the Ignore Violators mode from the navigation bar. Please have a try.

Hi DNGK -

To answer the other part of your question.....no - Fusion 360 doesn't allow you to revert to older versions or indeed, even to not update. We know this is an issue sometimes - and you may be on the bad end of it this time. We're not at all unsympathetic to your plight - but keeping all Fusion licenses worldwide on the same version all the time has a lot of advantages - so since the beginning, we've kept Fusion that way:

It means that all Fusion files are compatible - everywhere...all the time. This is a huge issue with most other CAD. They are often not compatible even if they are from the same systems because.....versions.

It means that our developers get instant feedback from our worldwide user base on every update, and if there are issues, we can more quickly isolate them and fix them. This was not the case for me when I was working on software that did not force updates. Nearly all users waited a year or more to install an update - this meant we had virtually no data on whether or not a service pack was working until we had already stopped further development of that version! This caused more bugs, not less.

It keeps our development and support streamlined because we only have to maintain one version of the software. This is a huge improvement and frees up considerable resources to develop faster and better.

I can imagine at the moment that you might not feel so happy about this decision, and I respect that....but this is how Fusion works, for now.

Consider also that what you are experiencing here may indeed be a bug - but it could also be due to other issues beyond our control such as a corruption in the file, or a hardware conflict. This is why its so important for us to be able to look at your design and attempt to reproduce the error. If we can, your help will make Fusion 360 better for all of us - quickly!

Thank you...and sorry again for your troubles.

Hi DNGK-A,

We really appreciate your participation in the Fusion 360 electronics forum. Just have a quick question regarding the inconvenience you are experiencing. Does this happen with a particular design, or does it happen with other designs you are working on?

Best Regards,

At least I found the culprit now - Loop removal is the issue. As soon as I turn it off in any design the situation improves significantly!

@rick.olson7S9M5

@edwin.robledo
