Hi Jorge - happy to try the inside edition.

As for the feature, well, the rest of Fusion does not work that way. In a sketch, right drag selects all and moves all. Left drag only selects the whole entity if it's wholly within the drag area. So, feature or not, Fusion is not consistent and that's not good IME -- electronics should work like the design and manufacturing space.

-Tom

Hello everyone. I think I stumbled across a couple odd issues with the latest release.

1 - upon launching Fusion, none of my projects are being updated in the data panel. I have to put fusion in offline mode, restart, and put into online mode to get the latest changes. I'm like 6 for 6 on content not being updated upon initial launch. Since there's work around it's not a huge deal, but it's a big pain in the *ss to essentially launch fusion twice for every session.

2 - Second issue is selecting lines in schematic view. Recreate: open any schematic, draw a line. Select the line by right click and drag up to "select all" but don't select the left side. Move the selection -- the left side of the line is pinned and doesn't move with the rest of the items even though it was "select all". See attached video.

3 - I have not been able to reproduce yet, but I was trying to add a new component, hit escape to cancel. Sudden I couldn't perform any additional operations -- nothing would move, couldn't add components, couldn't route nets. When I tried to close Fusion I got an error saying the command "close" was in process to stop or continue. Selecting either did nothing. Eventually I was able to save the project and then close. Super weird. I thought I got a screen shot of the error message but I can't find it.

4 - general instability -- I've been having to restart at least 2 or 3 times per session when things suddenly stop responding or working all together. Nothing specific or conclusive, just a general observation.

5 - PCB defaulting to white background even if preferences set to dark. Or preferences not being save -- not sure which.

6 - when placing a component, 90% of the time it shows up on the schematic but then you can't move it. you need to drop where ever it shows up and then move it manually.

7 - sometimes when you paste components, the new components are immediately highlighted, but if you grab them they immediately deselect and you can't move them. Some times the new components "float" and you can move them without clicking. I have not figured out what triggers either behavior. The latter is correct IMHO.

8 - Undo takes *forever* to complete - even for the most simple operations.

Platform Details:

Fusion 2.0.20476 arm64 [Native]
macOS 14.6.1 (23G93) on Mac14,14

Apple M2 Ultra

2TB HD

128 GB RAM

Hello @cyberreefguru ,

There was an issue with some flags not being cleared in the last release. Would you be willing to try the insider version of Fusion, those flag issues have been corrected in the lastest insider version. That should fix the instability and crash issues you are experiencing.

Autodesk Fusion | Join the Insider Program

Now for the video you provided, this is actually a feature. Depending on how you drag the marquee (left to right vs right to left) the selection will include everything you touch vs only what is actually enclosed. Lines have 3 handles when you do the right to left marquee you don't grab all three handles which leaves the unselected handles fixed and the line drags. The left to right marquee includes the whole trace so it moves expected.

The instabilities you are seeing are definitely not normal, let me know if using the insider version gives you better results.

Best Regards,
