topic Betreff: 3D package is not showing in 3D PCB in Fusion Electronics Forum

Hi @Anonymous ,

it is difficult to say why the 3D battery box does not show up in your 3D PCB, but @PinRudolf could be correct with his idea that you do not take the correct MyLib library for the REPLACE command. Could you try to delete the battery box in your design and ADD it from the library again?

You asked: "Is there something wrong with my process?"

Well, I would say not wrong, but maybe it could be easier... 😉

- First of all: Use unique library names . This helps in identifying the correct library.

- And second which comes into my mind: Why do you push the library to library.io?
If you create a library, you simply store it in your Fusion environment. No need to push it to library.io!
The only exception I would do is working together and sharing the library with EAGLE users.

- Save you libraries in one place in Fusion: Best practice is to create one project "Libraries". This is
the place for all you libraries you created and are working with. Check this video about organising your projects.

Hope this helps.

Hello.
I'm trying to design a case that is enclosure for PCB. So I need 3D packages on 3DPCB. Unfortunately, default library has not.
So I've made "My library", and I've added the device contain symbol, footprint and the 3D package. And I've pushed the library to library.io. I can see the 3D package is displayed in the library editor.

I've moved to the schematic editor and replace the old parts with the "Replace" command, the 3D package has been displayed in the "REPLACE" window.

I've completed the "Replace" command and move to the 3DPCB,

But the 3D package is not displayed.

Is there something wrong with my process?

Just to be sure: Have you checked that you are not accidentally using one of the other libraries that you've called 'My Library'?
I don't think Fusion uses the library names as identifiers but it might be worth changing those names to something else.

But I should change the library name to avoid mistakes as you said. I will do that.

@RichardHammerl

Thank you for your responce.
I have deleted battery box in my design and ADD it with "Add" command. And it has displayed in 3DPCB! I have tried "Replace" command again, it has not displayed in 3DPCB again. Thus, I will use "Add" instead of "Replace".
Thank you again!
