Hi @Manu_Roelants_Student ,

I hope you and your family are well. Maybe I've misunderstood, but the manufacturer would have to obtain the Raspberry Pi compute module as a unit. That would be the one item on the BOM.

Are you creating a custom module for this board? In that case that should be it's own design and that is what the manufacturer would make.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

Hello,

I am trying to make a library part of the Raspberry Pi Compute Module 4. it is connected to a pcb with 2x100 pin mezzanine connector with a very specific spacing between them.

I was successful in making this device, even in adding multiple 3D models in one package.
But it is only now that i realize that the PCB SMT assembly manufacturer will have a problem because there is only one part in the BOM file.

How do i go about making a device that hase multiple real life components inside it so the SMT assembler will accept my files.
i have also looked into making this inside a module. but honestly i cannot find information about wat modules are supposed to be used for.

Thanks for any help

Hey, sorry i think i was a bit unclear.
The situation is as follows. The raspberry pi compute module is something that fits onto the bigger board that i have posted a picture of in the first post. and you can see the 2 mezzanine connectors that are need to connect the compute module to the big IO board. In essence i want to recreate the big board, but with different functionalities.

For this i have created a device in my library that contains the footprint for the 2 mezzanine connectors. and in the 3D package file i also added the model for the compute module just for show. but ofcoars when i create the bom it shows this as one device (part). i would like to ask if it is possible to ad multiple parts in one device. some sort of assembly of parts that i can paste in my project. so that the bom shows me the 2 connectors.

The reason i want have these 2 mezzanine connectors in one part is because these have a critical spacing between them. and i also will use this module in other projects.
