Hi @christopher2KLSVU ,

I hope you're having a great day. Ideally, you would want to fix the issue in the original sketch you derived the board outline from. If this is not possible then I would say make a new sketch and derive a new 3D PCB from it. You can break the old link in the 2D PCB and then re-link to the new 3D PCB.

One thing to note you break the link in the 2D PCB, but you form the new one by going into the 3D PCB and selecting link to 2D PCB.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

How can I update my board outline, when pcb is done?

I did project 6 months ago. PCB is done and now I am creating ver2. At that time it was made somehow from sketch. Currently I have forgotten which sketch is used. I thought when I rework my sketch the board will be synchronized somehow automatically. But I do not know which sketch is actually used in my PCB. Thus I have following questions:

1.How do I know which sketch is used as my board outline( i have crated multiple, and the only way I see is clicking every sketch and look for referenced "used in". Is there a better way?

2. How to efficiently update my board outline. I just want to move one hole in sketch and viola.

regards

@jorge_garcia

@panpan_fan

@HelenChen-AutodeskQA

I ll try, thanks for the tips.whats wondering me is that when I opened 3D board I could click board outline //I mean sketch// activate edit mode but I was not able to rotate some element in sketch. I wanted to import improved dxf file and rework it. Can I do it so or current 3D pcb has to destroyed? Regards

Hi @christopher2KLSVU ,

Because the outline is linked to a sketch upstream editing the outline here could create problems. That's why if there's no way to track the original sketch the outline is derived from you are better off breaking the link and creating a new 3D PCB.

For now I recommend creating new 3D PCB.

I have managed it by "push to 2D" from 3D pcb.
