Hi @jackassaudio ,

I hope you're doing well. Normally a component like that would already bring the device name with it in the schematic. There are a couple of things to check in the library. Make sure that in the schematic and in the board you have the >NAME and >VALUE place holders so that the information will be displayed in the schematic. If those place holders aren't there then all you will get is blank space.

The other place to check would be in the Device. Make sure value is set to off, if you do that then by default the value will be the device name. Since you are getting started I recommend watching this series to get a grip on how the library works.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,

I am new to Fusion 360 so bare with me.

I have selected MMBT4401-LTNPN-SOT23-BEC from the library but when I enter it to the grid inside the schematic the name and value are not there. How do I enter the name and value so when I send the schematic to the PCB manufacturer they know what the correct component is?

Does this matter at this point in the design process or do I change this later in the PCB layout section?
