Hi @LloydTravisSmith ,

I hope you're doing well. In order to delete the drill holes make sure the drills and holes layers are on, those layers contain the handles for the drills. If they are off you won't be able to select them.

Normally a replace or update operation should be sufficient, however sometimes they don't work so what you did would be the approach if replace or update fail.

Let me know if you continue to run into problems.

Creating a part using Import... and editing the footprint

I followed the video series on creating a library and creating your own part. I don't think I want to try to master all of that yet, because I expect to find parts that are very similar to what I need and can hopefully be edited a bit to suit my needs. As I started down this path, I ran into a hurdle right away. I imported an existing part for a TE right angle through hole 37-pin connector. I wanted to delete the indications for the board locks as shown here:

I tried everything I could think of, but was unable to select and delete or modify these features. If I select all of the features (with <All> highlighted in the selection filter) and attempt to delete everything, the outline and the white circles indicating position 1 are deleted, the pads connected to pins cannot be deleted, obviously, but the green circles indicating the location of the board locks appear not to be recognized at all, because Fusion acts as if they are not there, and does not delete them.

Any hints would be appreciated!

Continuing the previous entry, I found that because I could select and cut everything but the indications for the board locks, that I could copy and paste the rest to a new footprint, which I added as a variant in the part's library:

After connecting the pads to pins, I tried replacing the part on the board with the new variant. Fusion did not complain at all, but the old part with the board lock features remained on the board.

So, I went back to the schematic, added the new variant, deleted the old one, and reconnected the nets. This seemed to work, but is that the right way to go about this?
