topic Any plans to improve the Library Manager library component listing? in Fusion Electronics Forum

I think it's extremely difficult to grasp the contents of a library in the Library Manager, when you can only can see three components at time, just showing the name of the component without any description:

There's a lot of empty space on the right where the components are listed that could be utilized. A vertical list would be much better. For example, the view on library.io is a huge improvement:

Here you can see many components at a time and it is much easier to get an overview of the library. It is not however very practical to open library.io every time and Fusion Hub libraries don't have this view. (As a side note, the library.io view could also be improved, by allowing to resize the columns, so that you for example could see more of the summary. The window size is also fixed, leaving a lot of unused space on a modern monitor. Why fix the size?)

I find it quite frustrating clicking through the horizontal list one component at a time, without even really showing any valuable information.

Are there any plans to improve this in the foreseeable future?

Hi @Bjanders,

There was in improvement in the library manager done recently which may help alleviate this. In the library manager filter you can type library names to search for libraries BUT, you can now type in a specific component and it will show you any libraries that contain it. So you don't have to look through the library to see if a library contains the part you are interested in, you can just search for it directly.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

Best Regards,
