Difference component copy vs component mirror

Hello community,

Here I am again with another (naive) question but fundamental to get a better understanding of the software.

If you see the attached file, the central component is the original that I created. To the right is a copy (used copy and paste function) and to the left is the component mirrored.

Here is what I noticed and I would need some rational.

1. If I Pull the original (central) component vertically from the top, both copy and mirror change dimension accordingly. Same is true if I do it on the component copy.

2. If I Pull the original (central) component horizontally, only the copy (right) changes dimension and the mirrored stays as it is.

3. If I Pull the mirrored copy (left) vertically or horizontally, only that component changes dimension and the original (center) and the copy of the original (right) don't change.

4. If I go tho the Parameter window, only Component1 is showed with Extrude being the only parameter available and editable

If you want changes to the original reflected in the mirrored component, before making changes to the original, you'll have to roll the timeline back to before the mirror feature in the timeline .

A copy/pasted component ins an instance. In essence, there is only one dataset for the component.

A mirrored component as you'll notice does not include the sketches from the original, so it isn't an instance. The link to the original is provided by the mirror feature.
