topic Dimension decals in 2D Drawing in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

I'm working on a product design, which once complete is meant to be a thorough and detailed pack that'll be sent to a manufacturer for production. And that includes a couple of logo(decal) on some surfaces.

The problem I'm having here is that, I can't put dimensions on those logo in the 2D drawing... F360's dimension tool simply ignores the decal despite I set the view style as "Shaded" in order to make the decal visible.

I ended up eyeballing the corner of the decal and using the sketch feature to place a point there, and dimensioned on that. This is far from ideal as you can imagine how inaccurate it is, especially considering the logo typically has transparent background and invisible margins...

So my question here is, am I doing this correctly? If not, what's the best way of showing and dimensioning a decal in 2D drawing?

If I am understanding the statement of your issue and you are placing your logo in the model, I believe this is the wrong process. I believe you should be placing your image (logo) in the 2D drawing environment. In my Screencast I demonstrated two method of placing the logo first using a perfectly exact method and one using a very accurate location method in your drawing. I did not show it in the Screencast but the logos show up very nicely if you change your drawing views to shaded.

Sorry for my late reply, but that makes perfect sense! I love both solutions. Thank you John.
