So you don't have to redo the 2d drawing, the best way is download the 2d drawing from your online hub. This will give you an f3z file containing the 3d model and the 2d drawing. Upload the f3z file using Fusion's data panel to a new folder or project. Be careful, if you upload to the same directory as the original because Fusion will let you have several files with the same name in the same folder.

When you have the copy you can just modify. You might want to investigate using parameters to make resizing easier.

Hi everybody,

I've finshed my first 3d design and made the technical 2d drawing from it to send to our manufacturer.

This design was voor an enclosure of 300x250x200mm, here is a picture of it:

Now I have to make another one with a dimension of 400x300x200mm. So a bit higher and wider.
What is the best approch to accomplish this?

I know about the scale function, but I think this will deform the holes and cut-outs? So I was thinking to slice the body in half and move the top part 100mm upwards. And then fill in the gap and join the two bodies back together.
Would this work or is there a better way?

Best regards,

Benno

That totally depends on how the first model was made.

Copy the Component, Paste New and change the dimension as required. Much easier.

Might help...

Hi,

best to realise:

create a copy > change the desired dimensions

günther
