Explode rectangular/radial repeat

Hello,

I can't find any way to break a rectangular repeat.

In order to fill a planar area with a 2D pattern, I'm repeating a component with only one sketch.

All is fine except that I have to cut out some parts of the sketch.

Could it be possible to have something to break the relation with the repeat feature? (convert to DM for example)?

You don't need to trim anything.

You should pattern features rather than sketches.

No dimensions on Sketch1 of the external reference?

No dimensions on Sketch1 of the motif_repeat.

Why the external references?

All of this can be very very dramatically simplified.

What are you modeling - what is your Design Intent?

Edit: Is there a logical reason that the "circles" are not Circles?

I don’t shared the real pattern, this one is just to explain my issue.

the real pattern could be more complex.

the external reference make sense, as the pattern could be reused multiple times by multiple users...

for performance issue it looks easier to repeat the component instead than the logo inside the sketch.

Where is the complex pattern?

Why are the "circles" in this pattern not Circles?

OK, that makes sense, if... ...if the pattern will change and you want it to update everywhere. If it will not change, then I would probably break the link once the pattern is inserted. For the other designs it can still be imported as needed.

What is your Design Intent. Can you provide an image. Can you provide a *.f3d file.

Even without significant information - I am going to place my wager that this is actually the least efficient technique.
