Problems Finding Image Files

I would like to import a an image to sketch around for my design. However when I go to Insert - canvas, I'm greeted by the following. I'm not sure if this is normal as all the other YouTube videos and help forums show to be able to select an origin and insert an image.

So I then select 'insert from my computer'

Which then opens up this box and doesn't show my image.

I have images saved as file types; .JPEG and .PNG

I have tried it saved with a project name and I get the same results.

I am also wondering if its because its the free edition and the feature isn't supported. I've only been using it a few days so I'm really not sure.

@Anonymous can you try the below step and see if it works:

Open Windows File Explorer.
Go to the View tab.
Check the File name extension checkbox.
Now use the insert canvas option in Fusion360.
Select Insert from my computer.
Go to the folder where images are present in the required format and insert the canvas.

Im having the same problems and that didn’t fix it it will show the pictures on the folder icon but when I open it it’s empty
