Hi, I'm a very new Fusion user and I'm stuck. I'm trying to extrude a face in such a way that it transitions into another shape. in the attached example, I'm trying to extrude face #1 so that the outer edges stay where they are and the inside comes up to match face #2 with a fluid transition

Any suggestions are welcome!

Please attach your model as the forum users cannot create "your exact" shape. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

To get a smooth transition, without edges, you will need to add fillets to the bottom block edges. If you do not you will get this look.

I added them in the final model which is attached. Please note the sketch on top of the round post. This is to eliminate that segment of the round top from the loft.

This is awesome! I'm so close to understanding what you're doing here. If I peak through the timeline of what you did it looks like you used the loft command - easy enough. when I try to recreate it, I end up with an error that says my loft intersects itself. I see the sketch you added at the face trims off the curved edge but how did you get your line to snap to that point? your model has lines that extend off the base part and out to the edge of the round post.
