how to create a drawing of one side of the model?

Hello,

I have a model with some weird angles, so that when I try to create a 2D drawing of the model, lines are being measured shorter than they are in real, because of the perspective.
Is it somehow possible to pick the specific sides of the object to create a drawing, rather than just using the 6 sides of the cube in the coordinate System?

Hi @Anonymous ,

Thanks for your post, As I understand from your comments you want set specific face of Model as Front view,
then please select that face as Look At and then set that view as Front from below setting.

Please let me know that what you expecting or anything more help you need.

Hello and Thanks for your reply,

when I do what you said everything else then goes into perspective.

The angle of the parts with the bigger holes is not 90° as you can see it is 97°. When I now go into drawing, trying to define the holes, that is not possible because I can't select a perspective that is 7° out of the cube.
When I do what you told me everything is turned by 7°, so that I can have the one perspective which was not possible before, but then all the other perspectives are not possible anymore.
Do you understand my problem? Thats my Model

Whenever possible...

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

That would help in getting correct solution first time around.

Post back (with the file) if you have trouble creating Named Views as suggested by @g-andresen .

If you have figure it out, then mark @g-andresen response as the Solution.
