But - I guess you have to accept some idiosyncracies with software as complex as this one 😉

Could you give my a hint regarding other "Do's and Don'ts" in Fusion 360?

I fixed the design by manually adding measurements to every element.

This is not Fusion 360 specific advice but applies to all modern parametric CAD software.
You intuition is misguiding you in this case!

Hi folks,

this is my first post here, so please bear with me. I've already done a few smaller parts with Fusion 360, but this time I'm getting lost on constraints.

I've drawn a shape that I want to extrude. But most of the lines are missing constraints, it all came after applying the 2 mm chamfers to the edges of the rectangle. How do I fix this?

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,

Jan

That is one of the reasons we don't recommend applying such small fillets or chamfers in a sketch. Apply them as solid features. This saved time in having to debug a sketch and generates an overall faster model.

When adding chamfers or fillets sometimes it breaks the existing relations of sketches, basically, I try to add them on the solid model which is parametrically good.
Thank you.
