Labelling Dimensions manually?

Hello out there!
Short question
Is it somehow possible to manually label the dimensions? My goal is to take a sketch and label the with as "y" and the height as "x". I need the labelling to describe them later. See below in the picture. Later on I want to export this sketch.
As far as I know the dimensions were generated automatically.

So any idea?

You can setup parameters and enter them into the dimension as the size.

Hi,

It is not possible to create the lengths as variables in the sketch to fill them with values later.
Your representation is e.g. only possible via the detour of a screenshot.

Do you have the timeline at the bottom of the screen? If not you need to enable history, right click the top component in the browser and enable from the menu.

Edit. Any sketches already in the design will be contained in a base feature without history so you'll need to recreate the sketch after enabling history.

I've found a way around.
I just extruded my sketch and went with it into the drawing mode where I actually can change the dimensions from "..mm to the letter y or x"
