Would be more preferable if I could access an exported file as this web page isn't really working (pretty sure it's my side)

It tells me I'm logged in, and does nothing... and my Fusion is already open...

Cordialement

Ricky

Hi @sarik0031

1. I know it says surface "body" however it's really not

surface body have no defined thickness so don't exist but they show a visual representation

It' s like me imagining theres a wad of cash infront of me, but it's not there, I'm only visualising it

To cut whatever/wherever your trying to cut on that bonnet, you need to add a defined thickness to the surface "body" to make it and actual "body"

I will share a video for workaround within due time as I am currently doing coursework so expect 5-20min wait.

Coridalement

RIcky🤣

*Also if your trying to get better at fusion I would advice you to make a component as your first thing to keep track of different parts of the car. and if your following a tutorial, make sure it's not a cowboy 🤠 if not, good luck!

It's fine I fell into the same trap when I first started fusion,

1. congrats for rank 4!

2. I've checked and won't be posting a video; you basically do nothing to surface bodies until they actually "exist"

Where did you learn this rubbish. May I suggest you not comment on things that you don't know.

Surface bodies are true Fusion objects and are very useful as construction geometry faces as and when required (See below). Only true thing you said was that they have no thickness.

@sarik0031 Extrude the grill curves to intersect the front edge of the bonnet. Use the extrusion as your cutter (green), with the Surface > Modify > Trim Tool, and the offcut (reddish) is disposed of in the same operation.

Before OK.

After OK, with the cutter hidden Front view.

Might help....
