How to angle round surfaces?

Hoi All,

I'm quite new to Fusion 360 and did some personal designs, a shaft with thread and so on.

Now i'm making something to extend a button of my motorcycle.

However in the holder there is a small angle what makes the buttons sit on small angle for easy use.

I have drawn the pattern and extrude it, however how do I make this in a angle from the middle.

Tried to look online, added also a new surface to a angled side and drawn on that without the result I needed.

Hi,

Please share the file and show pictures (sketches) of a real existing object.

File > export > save as f3d on local device > attach it to the next post.

There are at least 2 ways of the bat that I can imagine.

Create a plane-at-angle on the line that would be the new edge and then use the split-body function to split off the unneeded geometry
Create a triangle in the side view and extrude-cut.

You provide a model in .f3d format, we can demonstrate.

I have tried to cut the edge by assuming your sketches.

This is only a possible solution, We can't help until we see the design.

Ah I see, well then I was well underway with making a offset pane and draw on there with a new sketch. Never knew that you can cut away material.

Your Sketch1 is not fully defined.

Blue geometry and white dots.

Missing dimensions?

Missing geometry constraints?

See my examples posted earlier.

Work with symmetry about the Origin when possible and practical.

If you open the Draft Face file that I attached earlier and make Sketch1 visible and then right click - Show Dimensions, you can then double click on my dimensions and change to your dimensions (start with the holes first since going smaller and then work in a logical order for the rest).

Edited my file to your dimensions without redrawing anything.

This is the power of parametric modeling.

I made thew radius manually as I found it hard to work with the ARC tool for the first time.

I did it wrong I guess.

Hi Whisperer,

I looked you updated file however this one is still with the old sizes.

I managed to make it to my own design however you said that the ARC's are not good?

I'm trying to learn how to make such arcs, is there are standard button for it? let's say to arc between two points and give it a radius of choice.

I never Attached the updated file - I only provided instructions for you on how to edit the file to your dimensions.

Editing files is all part of learning Fusion 360.
