Hi @steveBK8V9

Those are warnings that tell you the dimension is dis-associated. The reason this is happening is that the dimension is being placed between 2 different views.

The good news is that if you were to PDF or Print that drawing the icons would not show up.

I've drawn a filament coil with offset axis, but when I produce a Drawing the offset dimension is labelled 10 times greater than actually drawn. The offending dimensions have a yellow warning symbol attached that I can't get rid of / update. I've tried re-saving the assembly drawing, and closing / restarting Fusion 360 but I can't correct the problem.

Hi Clint

Thanks for the explanation. However, I really want to correct the dimension
on the main view of the filament - dimension from the central axis of the
coil to the underside of the leader legs.

I tried to create a centre line through the coil, but the only way I found
to do this was by extending the centre line of the end-on view. This still
gave me the wrong disassociated dimension 10 times what it should be.

Is there a way to re-associate the dimensions?

Best regards
Steve
Hi Clint

When I go to File / Export I find that this option is greyed out for the
drawing. I assume you require the f3d file for the whole assembly that
contains the Filament component that I was drawing?

I have since made a number of additions to my assembly drawing that may have
changed things a lot.

Best regards
Steve

You would not get these problems if you follow the Rules of Drafting. Dimensioning between two views is not a good practice and will result is issues. I reconstructed one end of your model and created a drawing using proper technique. Notice I added two dimensions for the end wire extension to center, one from the quadrant to center and one center to center. You can leave both but one must be marked REF (reference). The drawing and related model are attached as a F3Z file. You must upload it to your desire folder to open the drawing and model.
