Hello,

I am trying to model a solid body using surface modeling tools. I have gotten pritty far but I cannot seem to create the surfaces on the sides of my model that would complete the solid body.

The closest I have gotten is, "surface patch as bounded" with all three edges selected and it presents as a good surface and then when I click ok, it creates some wild geo.

I have tried everything I can think of but fusion just seems to create weird geometry no matter how I set up the patch.

I would love some help with how I can complete my body.

I have provided the fusion file

Thanks,

Your loft profile sketches are not properly constrained and not dimensioned. The lack of tangency constraints will make it difficult to achieve good surfaces. I'd work on that before attempting to loft and patch.

@mango.freund did you check the surfaces after patching ?

They are concave and I believe that is not desirable in this case.

Thanks for linking to that video.

The author misses to explain some fundamental concepts and also never uses the available tools to check his surface quality. The case presented in the video is much simple than the one presented by the OP.

1. All the diameters are the same.

2. The ends are cylindrical, so the loft "flows" into them tangentially.

Thank you for posting this video. It is actually a very interesting technique even though it does not solve my issue completely because as Trippy Lightning points out all the diameters in my design are different. however I was able to adjust my design so that two diameters are the same and one is larger this allowed my surface to solve without any inconstancy.
