Cannot generate smooth loft with flat base using rails

Hi there,

I'm trying to create a smooth loft that looks something like the smooth tube shape in the centre of this car.

I've tried re-creating it in Fusion 360 using my first profile at the end as a circle, a flat circle in the middle, and then a rectangle at the end (so I can extrude in an arc to produce that rounded shape at the front). Here is what I've tried:

I've tried using a horizontal rail at the bottom in order to make the base flat (like in the red car in the example image), however, the loft simply ignores the rail and bulges downwards anyway:

I cannot figure out how to make the base flat using rails, and also the loft I've produced doesn't really match the desired result as in the red car image. If anyone has any ideas on how I could re-produce that same shape with a flat base, I'd be really grateful.

Hi,

The cause will be the central rail.
Create a flat rail on the outside on both sides.
Perhaps a split of the body in the middle will also help.
Please share your design.

After using several rails for the Loft feature and the result looks better now. Please refer to the Fusion file for details.
