Hello, I am new to fusion 360. I am trying to make an intermeshing double helical screw. However, the helix is connected with the shaft; only the top part. I have tried the Coil tool but it doesn't give me the choice of changing the channel depth. How can I connect them together. Please help me. Thank you so much.

It is not clear what you desire. I have attached two models, please comment where I went right or wrong. You also are contradicting yourself, you say you want it attached to the shaft and then not in the same sentence.

Sorry for the confusion, I mean the helix and the shaft are not fully connected to the shaft; I have circled the problem in the First picture. In the Second picture, the highlighted part is not parallel and fully connected with the shaft thus created a gap between the helix and the shaft.

I hope this clears the confusion up. Thank you so much for answering.

You'll need to attach your file to the thread (File/Export/Archive file *.f3d) for anyone to debug the problem.

I have attached my file at the end of this comment.

There is a gap between the helix and the shaft on one side. That's the only problem I have.

Here is a helix where the dimensions are taken from your model. The ends have been trimmed flat. By the way, this is not a double helix only a single.
