Scale Objects and select surfaces

I'm working on a similar car shell like this one. The goal is to scale it up to 179%. What we did by now:

1. Scale up the solid body

2. Unstich the surfaces

3. Remove all inner faces: Doing this manually is very annoying.

Is there a function, which selects only connected faces?

4. Stich together all outer faces. That did not work, because we deleted some details from the outer shell. 😕

5. Thicken (not yet possible)

Is there a workaraound for this procedure? Will it work with complex shells?

The original model has a shell thickness of approx 1.5mm. After scaling it up like mentioned above it should end up with the same thickness.

hi @meister_mischler bitte gib deine arbeit auch immer als f3d file unden rein. das ist viel einfacher fuer alle.
