Yes, there are several threads on this particular issue, as @TrippyLighting says (some of which he provided the solution!)

how-make-a-surfboard-fin-using-loft

first-project-contouring-surfboard-fin-question

But, a quick comment about this: "However for some reason its not really following the trailing edge guide rail, what am I doing wrong?" It probably means that you have asked Loft to do contradictory things. For instance, loft to a point, with a tangent weight applied can conflict with rails near the point. Same with Tangent conditions with surface bodies and rails. Loft will do what it can, but may violate some of these conditions if it needs to in order to get a result.

Hello,

I am trying to build a surfboard fin design using a lot between root and tip profiles along leading and trailing edge guide rails. However for some reason its not really following the trailing edge guide rail, what am I doing wrong?

PS I have drawn a pretty good version of this fin using a sweep but I really want to use a loft so that the profile remains perpendicular to the base the entire time.

You can share your design and someone will likely be able to help.

In the meantime you can try typing "fin loft" into the search box of this forum and pick one of the suggested threads. This has been asked a number for times and solutions were provided.

Not all fins have the same geometry, so a particular thread might not show you exactly the solution you are looking for, but it is a great learning opportunity, that will pay off later!
