Loft puts in black lines that control contours

Hi,

I am doing a loft from one sketch to another and I am getting black lines that are acting as rails controlling the contours. I am putting in splines as rails I need yet the black lines are taking over.

Please see the screenshot showing sketches, rails I have placed and the black lines.

I can not delete the black lines. can you folks tell me how to get rid of them?

The black lines are edges between faces or surfaces, you did not supply the model so I cannot tell which. When the face or surfaces changes from a smooth contour, they will appear. You also have your visual style set to shaded with visible edges so they show up.

@jhackney1972 is correct - those are model edges. You cannot delete the edges between two faces.

first thing to try: Make sure that you have "Tangent Edges" set to "Merge" in Loft:

Second, if the edges bother you, just turn off their display. Set your Visual Style to "Shaded":

can u tell me how to send model? problem is black lines affect model. I
only want rails that I create to effect model. JR

If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.
