I'm trying to model this boat hull using a technique I watched on youtube. Its created with 3d sketches then using the patch, create the surfaces. I'm trying to create two surfaces, the side then the bottom. When I use the patch command, I don't get an error but "OK" button is greyed out so I'm not sure what is missing. I'm sure there is something obvious im overlooking.

Here is a snap shot and the fusion file attached.

Boat File

In 90% of the cases, the Patch command is the wrong tool and it should be used as a last resort, not the beginning of the design process.

I can already see that your curves need some work.

As @g-andresen has already commented, please share your design.

Before you continue, this is not really a beginner project, and there are a number of traps. So be patient!

Good surfaces require very clean curves with smooth curvature. That cannot be overstated!

The first curve you constructed already has pretty terrible curvature. Reason #1 is that you used too many spline control points. More than 3 are unlikely necessary.

Again, it takes a bit of patience to finagle the spline points and tangent handles so the curve matches the shape of your reference sketches.

In fact, you will likely be better off using control point splines instead of fit-point splines.

Start with a 3-degree control point spline with 4 points. If that does not work, use A 5-degree spline with 6 points.

Here is some literature you should familiarize yourself with.
