Can't select edge when creating contour flange

I am attempting to create a curled edge on a sheet metal body. I started by creating an open sketch perpendicular to the edge. I then followed these steps:

1. Select body (or component - doesn't matter)

2. Select "flange"

3. Click on the open sketch (blue line below)

4. Tried to select an edge but cannot do so.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

Did you Attach the correct file?
This are Splines that are not connected to anything?

What do you see if you zoom into the "connections"?

Edit: OK I turned off Sketch1 and see your Front roll sketch...

This will need to be a Sweep. (And make it Tangent to the existing geometry.)

Yes, there are some splines elsewhere in the sketch that aren't connected but those can be ignored (assuming that this isn't what is confusing the software, of course). For the purpose of this example, I'm only interested in projecting the 270 degree arc around the edge of the solid body in the component labeled "head".

Note that the sketch titled "Front roll" does intersect the edge of the sheet metal body (see below).
