Midplane between 2 sketch faces

Hello,

Still trying to learn fusion 360. Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm trying to create a plane exactly half the angle in between 2 sketched faces. It looks like it is about to work when I click on construct then on midplane. Then I click on each sketch face. And it comes up with a preview of the plane that looks perfect. However, when I go to click ok on the midplane box, then the plane gets flattened down to the x-y plane and no longer is the middle of the two faces that I selected?

Does anybody know why the preview of the plane doesn't get accepted?

Are all of your sketches fully defined?

Why not use the line and the XY plane?

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I think they are fully defined. Not 100% sure though.

There are no dimensions on your Sketch1 - the very foundation of your design.

You can't have a properly defined sketch without dimensions?

This is a fully defined sketch.

What happened to your dimensions?

Notice that sketches turn color when fully defined and show a lock symbol in the browser

I may have deleted them.... Ok let me start again with leaving all dimensions.

Thanks for this.

I'll add some context as well to why I'm drawing this file. I'm going to be making this object out of plywood. That is 19mm thick. So the reason I wanted the plane at the mid angle between the two faces, was that it would allow me to know exactly what angle I need to chamfer the plywood edges on those connecting pieces such that they join up perfectly. I managed to get this angled plane between Part A and Part B. However it's proving a bit more difficult to get between part B and D.

For future reference - if you use the BORN Technique you don't need to create any workplanes (see Attached).

Oops, hold everything - I just realized that I made a mistake...

This is embarrassing...

to answer your original question, @Anonymous - yes, that looks like a bug - an angled midplane between two sketch profiles does not calculate correctly on OK.
