Why is every file format I export from Fusion not readable in other apps?

The dialogue box shown below happens with EVERY SINGLE type of file format I export from Fusion. Just substitute DXF or whatever you want the end result is the same. Why is fusion exporting invalid file formats?

Are you speaking of 3D file exports or 2D file exports?

They are attached, they were exported from a flat spline design, so I'm assuming that's 2d

Can you provide some examples of what export process you are following and what exact design you are exporting ?

I export stuff out of Fusion 360 all the time and have zero problems, but usually it's 3D geometry in form of STEP files.

I've also reported many 2D DXF files for water jet cutting, laser cutting etc. No problem whatsoever.

Both of your attached files open in AutoCAD and DWG TrueView perfectly. I do not have a copy of Adobe Illustrator.

These look like you exported them from the 3D Design Environment as you were in a 2D Model Sketch. I wonder if you used the Export command for the DXF file? Try opening the file, right click on the sketch in the Browser and choose Save as DXF if you used Export before. To export a DWG I know you used the Export command. What other applications have your tried to open them with except Adobe Illustrator?

That sounds right. There are so many "gotchas" in Fusion.

Logic dictates that if you use the "File>Export" menu you will get a usable file.

Your suggestion to use the sketch - export technique worked perfectly.
