Hi guys!

I am trying to replicate a plastic tube and only change the volume, but it seems like Fusion 360 is not calculating it properly. I also tested by creating an example tube with dimensions 200mm x 200mm x 200mm and I get about 10l volume which is obviously incorrect.

Here is a link to my test volume bottle, any ideas?

https://a360.co/3xHKOx4

Thanks to anyone participating!

The volume of your container is 1.458 liters. In the attached model, the body labeled "Volume" is the one to measure.

Thanks for your reply John!
I saw the Fusion calculation is a bit above 14l but having in mind the dimensions I think it's completely wrong.

Container volume being calculated manually considering the dimensions is about 200x200x200=8000ml=8l which is quite far from 14l and here's where my confusion comes from

You must have attached a different model because the link you gave only measures approx 101.0 x 101.0 x 150.5 mm. Of course it has some form in one end that will reduce its volume. I suggest that you go back to your post and open the model you gave in the link to and try again.

Yes, you're right, I gave a wrong example... Apologies for this

Here is the real model I'm working on, for some reason I cannot do the proper boundary fill in order to do the volume calculation.

The reason for your difficulty in using a Boundry Fill is because the model body, which you created from the surface model, has holes in it. The surface body has the original holes so the body will also. Take the model I am returning, do a stitch on it, selecting the main surface and the neck boundry fill I placed, and you can see the problem areas in red.

I took a few minutes to repair your surface model, create a new solid, and using a bit different method than Boundry Fill, I have determined the interior volume. This is "right to the top" of the neck. It is:

Corrected model is attached. Take a look at the Volume Body and the Bottle Body to see the difference.
