Joining line segments in sketches

How can I join the lines in this sketch to make it easier to work with. When there are so many small line segments it is esy to miss a small part.

Lines and arcs are separate sketch entities. So you cannot join two of them to make one new one. But you can delete all the small line segments in a straight line, leaving only the start and end of it, and then draw a new line in their place.

Is that what you were after?

no, not really. But a good suggestion. Would be nice to have the
possibility to convert all the small lines to a spline.
Could it be done by the offset tool? Just use the tool and have zero
offset?

No, the offset tool will create one entity per entity...

I would start over from scratch and create each and every element as fully defined high-quality geometry.

I would not have any dimensions that I cannot measure with calipers.

I would have the small ellipse geometry on a separate sketch.

Extrude
Convert to Mesh
Create Mesh Section Sketch
Edit sketch
Fit Curves to Mesh Section

Would it be the same with the revolve tool?

I am not familiar with using mesh. Could you show me an example?

Do you suggest to first make a basic full defined sketch and than make another one with the small details?

This explains the process (but don't move the sketch).

p.s. In your case, this will be as much if not more work than recreating it as @TheCADWhisperer suggests 😁
