save file into single solid

How do I save a large file with 50+ parts, to one solid entity file. I would like to use that save file as a base to add different parts, without a large time line.

if your goal is to just get rid of the timeline, just turn off history, and use Save As, then undo the history disabling step (or close without saving). But, this will still contain multiple components. If you truly want a single solid body (assuming that all the components are overlapping), you will have to Combine them all into one body (as well as get rid of history).

I created this Blog and Video to show the process for what you desire. I will admit that on certain assemblies, due to "features and processes" you have used it may fail. Give it a try and see if it helps.

The problem with it is it often just fails to perform boolean operation. And also it often doesn't select all bodies with a window selection and you have to go body by body and manually select. I most often use this for imported CAD, like PCBs. They have hundreds of bodies often and I really think Fusion could benefit from a simple Save As Solid feature. All the other CAD systems have it. It's really annoying, upsets me in a big way.

Saving instanced components into a single solid can substantially increase file size and memory consumption and hinder performance.

Particularly for PCBs it is a better option to just delete all the small passives.

Fusion's select by size function can be of great help here:
