Modify length of axis construction line

I've created construction lines using "axis perpendicular to face at point".

This gives me what I want, except for the length of the construction line. Can I change the length and starting point of the axis line?

In the screen shot below, I've added construction lines at the center of mirrors to show the laser beam path.

Also, can I adjust the center point after creation, or do I need to delete and recreate? (the center point will need to be tweaked in 3d when exact mirror location is determined.

Discovered I could drag the construction line end point when I create the construction line--good enough for now (versus changing length after creation).

But I'd still like to know if it is possible to modify versus delete and redo.

Actually, it seems I can only adjust the length when the point is on the perpendicular face.

In my case, I'm using the center of a hole for the point and another face in the drawing for the perpendicular face.

When I do it with the point in the hole, I don't get an end point on the construction line that I can drag.

So, I'm still stuck on getting a construction line that's the length I want.

Were they draggable after creation?

Mine are not, and not at construct time, if point is in hole.

Unless there's another reason they are not draggable. Newbie here.

I believe the construction line is infinitely long, under the hood so to speak so you shouldn't need to drag it anywhere, it will work where ever it is.

yes, absolutely. Draggable after creation (in fact, as far as I know, ONLY after creation). My screencast does not show the axis creation at all. Now, if there is more than one entity at the same graphical location, it can be a challenge to get the right thing selected, but if you do, you should be able to drag it. Unless this axis is contained in an external component, in which case, like any other edit, cannot be done from the referencing design.

If you can share a design and a screencast, we can explore further.

Your terminology is not what we are used to.

Construction - Axis, are blue / green in colour, correct, you can drag the end points but can not Dimension them. If the original point selected, happens to move, then the Axis will go too.

Construction - Line, orange in colour, is a sketch article, can be dimensioned, when fully constrained will turn black, (preferred), and also update with source articles.

Sorry, I should have called it a construction axis. I created it using:

Construct->Axis Perpendicular to Face at Point

The end points are draggable--I think I must have had the wrong component activated--now I got them the length I want.

Transitioning from SketchUp Pro. So far, F360 seems WAY better for the things I want to do.

What you had done was depicted in the picture,

Your application of showing a laser beam, is perfectly suitable in Assembly work.

Fusion is sketch based modelling, and Construction Menu articles are used more for reference, where as sketch geometry is more controllable.
