I spent a few minutes using Reduce in the mesh workspace to reduce the complexity of this mesh by a lot. If your goal is to use this as a prop - keep it in mesh. I did not try to convert to BRep, because that is really not a recommended workflow unless there is a specific reason to do so.

Im not sure If I will get much help on this but I have a .dwg of a chair specced from another manufacturer I need to include in my model. The chair is a .DWG and when I upload it to fusion 360 it is made of a complex mesh. I have converted it to a solid body but the object is still so complex that my computer crashes every time I include it in my master assembly and related drawing. It's very frustrating that a simple object like this can cause such a problem. attached is the .DWG. Can anyone simplify this model for me maybe into a .step file so it doesn't kill my whole workflow?

this appears to be the same chair and the same workflow as here: very-slow-workflow-between-2d-and-3d-design-and-trouble-with . Is that true? In that thread you said: "I just need it as a prop for a table Im working on". Does it have to be this chair, from this DWG? If it is just a prop, there are probably lots of desk chair models around that you can download. Here is one from GrabCAD:

If there is something in your contract that specifies this particular chair, and there is no simpler representation of it available, then I would recommend opening it in a separate design, and doing a significant amount of simplification. In the Mesh workspace, you can use Reduce or Remesh to produce a simpler mesh. Get rid of unnecessary details. You can probably make it a lot more efficient. Also, if it is just a prop, there should be no need to convert to BRep - just leave it as a mesh.

It's not a simple model, it's a complex mesh file. It may have something wrong with it, it crashes e-drawings every time I try to open it.
