Modelling a stool seat? Easy way?

Hi y'all!

I'm trying to model my stool in fusion, I made the first one in rhino but now i like to do it in fusion.

The seat is a bit complex as it curves. I do need to make these kind of seats often so if anyone knows how to make this in a easy workflow that would be great! Or any tutorials to achieve this kind of shape.

I'd like to experiment with the withd of the seat too so it can't be a sculpture type model.

Sorry, I did not see the bit about "it needs to be parametric". So Form won't work...

How do you manufacture it in the real world.

Do you start with flat stock of uniform thickness and then steam bend it or do you use some other process?

Yes correct, it's made with the steam bending technique.

In that case, I assume that you would also like for Fusion to develop the flat pattern sheet for you too.

(This will be easy.)

for the stool top, start with a surface, then thicken it. this will solve the issue with using an angle setting in the extrude.

I was not sure if you added the Fillet in the flat sheet state or after bending.

In the attached I have it in the Flat Pattern.

Expand the Seat component and click on the Activate Flat Pattern button.

You will probably have to adjust the K-F if you need to fine tune (although I imagine your tolerances on wood are not particularly tight).

You will notice a 1mm line in the sketch to create a tiny planar face - this is necessary for Flat Pattern to work.

You can make it even small if it is bothersome.

I started out with it as 10mm to make the face easy to select when Convert to Sheet Metal, and then reduced to 1mm.
