Define a cylindrical joint between these surfaces:

However, it fails to calculate if the joint is at the end of the time line (I don't know why; I think it shouldn't fail as it is not over constrained).

But it works if you drag the cylindrical joint in front of joint4:

Another remark: it is not necessary to move and/or save position of your components. If you define a joint, they are positioned by the joint.

Regards,

Johan

I am working on designing grain handling systems and cannot find a solution to my problem. So the top distributor will be grounded and the end where the grain bin would be. 2 of the 22 1/2* elbows are used off of the distributor and a rotational joint applied so the 2 can be moved to get the correct angle of pipe to the bin. On top of the bin is the adjustable cushion box which would have a rotational joint from the base to the lid of the bin. The top part of the adjustable cushion box will also have a rotational joint in the horizontal center of the the top part to the bottom part. Now comes the hard part, getting the pipe connected in between there. I can create a 3d sketch and make a line between the 2 points and then use the pipe tool but that doesn't create a nice mated connection. What I think that I need is a way to "align" the face of the bottom and the elbow so they will rotate on there joints until there faces are parallel, then the pipe tool would be able to work. Is there another way I should be coming about this to solve this problem?

Perfect! Yes the cylindrical joint needs to be applied first and then the bottom joint can be made. It doesn't like when you try doing it other way and that is where I kept getting stuck at. Thank you for your help!
