I was able to purchase a license via our non-profit support, techsoup account. I am not able to save an STL file with this install. Is there a reduced functionality with this license. No "Save as Mesh" option is presented. Export has no STL option.

I read somewhere that I may be using a cloud version and that is why this functionality is missing. Can I use a local version, which might have this feature enables, with this low cost license?

If you are using the browser version then no you can not export or import from your local drives. The browser version runs on a remote desktop so can't access your local drives. One option would be to download the file from your hub, not from within Fusion. If you click the file's version in Fusion's browser there's an option to view details on the web, from there you can download and you should get all export formats.

One problem might be you'll get all the bodies\components in the design this way, if that's a problem you could use derive to push a body out to a new design then download the new design.

No you don't have the browser version if you ran an exe on you windows machine. There a lot of misinformation out there about Fusion. Only the file storage is cloud based, the main app is installed on your PC. There is a version available to educational users that runs on a remote desktop but doesn't sound like that's what you have.

First don't attach pictures use the Insert Photo option or just paste from the clipboard, viewing attached picture is a pain on this forum!

What's in your design? Just create a cube then right click the top node in the browser and see if you have save to mesh.

Fusion is designed to save to the cloud, if you don't want that some things just will not work. You have the option to Export, export to f3d will save a native fusion design to your hard drive but you will not be able to create 2d drawing this way or distributed designs (assembly designs with links to other designs). You are not missing anything with your install or how you installed, Fusion's just designed to work with cloud storage.
