BUG IN CUT WHEN CUTTING AN IMPORTED MAX MASTER LINEAR RAIL

this needs to be fixed.

import rail ,sketch on surface a rectangle.

using extrude cut = no object found to cut.

happens with step and iges.

however if u choose the mid plane and not the side of the rail and use cut symetrically then it works fine, but not if side is chosen for sketch plane. really weird.

otherwise have to use split body

Hi,

1. part of the cut profile is missing

2. Try "Cut Body" instead of extrude/cut > needs only 1 line

You have this checked on in your preferences-

I would suggest unchecking it.

when checked on, this will project the edges of the face into your sketch automatically, but the projected lines are invisible. or nearly so. because of this your face is broken down into more profiles, and you haven't selected all of them. you can just see these extra lines when you change your environment to "dark sky"-

making this preference on by default is one of the more stupid things AD had done.
