The calipers say one thing and the linear dim in the Fusion drawing something else. The discrepancy is enough to drill a hole from the print that would not match the corresponding hole in the part 3D printed from Fusion. Neither the printer nor the calipers are wrong because I printed the same (pcb outline) from Orcad and they match. Now I need to re-make the lid and use mechanical tools to match the holes. Pic attached.

This is a long standing issue that is sorta explained by the article @ClintBrown3D linked.

If fusion thinks the drawing won't fully print on the paper, then it scales it down so it will fit (yeah, that's right, with out telling you. When the print functionality came out I was told by someone on the fusion team that they didn't want to put in a print dialog box, but they did want to make sure the entire drawing printed. This was their solution. they figured it wouldn't be a problem for anybody if the drawing wasn't exactly 1:1. Bedlam ensued).

Usually this will be a result of the interplay between the size of the sheet boarder, and the allowable print area set by the printer driver. try turning off the boarder an the title block and reprinting. if it prints out to the right scale then you know the boarder is a bit to large for your printer setup. you may be able to find some settings in your printer to fix this, but the easiest thing will probably be resizing your boarder so it fits inside the printable area.

Today we shipped improved printing options, you now have control over the scale of your prints, and we have options for offsets etc.

Please give it a try once you have updated to the latest version. We'd love your feedback.

Just my two cents worth and not intended as anything other than an observation... Back in the olden days, when I started doing machine design in AutoCAD 10, every single print that went out to the shop, regardless of size or scale, was stamped with the words "Do NOT Scale Drawing." It was assumed that the dimensions could be off on the printed version just enough to wreak havoc with a finished product. This was back in the days when drawings were generated by a pterodactyl on a slab of granite.... or maybe it was a pen plotter.... sounded the same. 😂
