The issue you were seeing when you placed one assembly into another was caused by one sheet metal body you had not turned into a component. Because of this, it would not maintain the joints when being inserted. Also, in the Screencast, since I had to recreate your joints anyway, I show you a lot cleaner method of adding required joints and joining the motion between each end. Changing a sheet metal body, after the fact, from a body to a component is not straightforward as you might think. I show you the process in the Screencast.

I will not be sending your model back to you since it is a linked component and I am not sure you know how to handle it if I did. Since you added two F3Z files to your post, I am pretty sure you do not understand the relationship and I do not want to confuse you. Simply apply my changed to your original assembly, save it, and the top level one you added it to will update automatically.

files in attachment. I did design in solidworks before and I think it was the same feature in fusion360 when I am assembling in another project and putting it in another and then have reference to connections in the base model.

ok looks good. I have been working on solidworks for 4 years and there was another method of creating assemblies. I'm new to this case and just starting to learn fusion 360.

Thank you very much.
