Looking for M1.2 DIN965 countersink in HOLE TOOL

Hi Guys,

I've looked through a number of options in hole tool, but couldn't find anything less than M1.6. Is there an additional database to be downloaded somewhere, or did I oversee it?

Here's my screw, I know the thread is P 0.25.

I read the question as about fastener clearance holes, not about threaded holes.

I would simply look up the specs for your fastener head (or measure one if you have one in hand) and use the Countersink Hole feature. You are not limited to the Clearance Hole pre-defined standards.

How much experience do you have with manufacturing threaded holes?

Threads that tiny are very difficult.

Edit: OK @l.drewicz I looked through your other posts. Can you make it clear whether your question is about clearance holes or threaded holes? How will these holes be manufactured?

What advice do you have for threads like this?

You didn’t answer my questions.

Q1. Are you attempting to make a clearance hole or a threaded hole (or both). (Your original post only shows clearance hole attempt.)

Q2. How will you manufacture the real part threads? Hand tapped or machine tapped? (You certainly aren’t going to 3D print them.) In-house or outside vendor? Threads that tiny are exceedingly difficult to tap without breaking the taps. Are you sure you need fasteners that tiny? What is the functional purpose of the fasteners in this case?

A1: Both, first countersink on a plate of 1mm thickness (should leave me ~.3mm of regular clearance hole), then ~4mm thread into stainless steel.

A2: Manufactured at a vendor, dunno which one yet, but I'm looking. Size-wise, I could prolly go up to M1.6, but no more. Strength/purpose-wise, nothing that would need a lot of resistance, but I don't see any other screws of that size around, so that thread must stay.
