      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;I am trying to turn my STL file into a Solid body, but the prismatic option doesn't work properly.&lt;BR /&gt;I don't want the faceted option, beacuse to want to offset my object.&lt;BR /&gt;Does anynone have any idea how I can make the uploaded STL solid body?&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks a lot,&lt;BR /&gt;Apostolis Zevgaras&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Solid model the part from scratch, use the stl for reference only. Converting meshes to solid does not work well for many models so if it fails, don't use it. If there were no threads on it then it might have worked.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If your just looking to use the threads from the STL then model the part in Fusion, then change it to a mesh, then use the combine command to unite the two meshes.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sorry I didn't take the time to look into the STL file, but now that I have I see why my suggestion might not work. I tried repairing the mesh as there are some nonmanifold surfaces and the result looks to already degenerated to the point where the threads would no longer work. All the Mesh to Brep conversions I have done threads have never remained useable after the conversion. The solver is not to the point where it can interpret the spiral and maintain it, even my experience with Geomagic a software meant specifically for this type of application it would be very labor intensive to create all the face groups and specification to have this work. You are much better off remodeling the part.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Attached is a 1/2 to 1/4 NPT adaptor I found on McMaster-Carr that seems to be the same thread, the thread in the STL is not modelled correctly anyway. Maybe you can modify this part.&lt;/P&gt;
