OK, after a bunch more testing I realized I shouldn't just let the Scale dialog select the Point value by default. When I explicitly specify the actual origin point of the entire model as the Point around which the scaling should be performed, it seems to scale everything properly.

I've built a pretty nice model of the Disneyland Moonliner model, at full scale, i.e. 80 feet tall.

It looks like this, everything where it should be and everything sized correctly. Here's a rendering.

I then use the Scale function in Fusion 360 to scale it down to 50% of its original size. And here's what I get:

It seems that MOST of it gets properly scaled down, but not everything. In particular the Landing Struts. The first strut I designed is MOSTLY OK, although even for that one some of the secondary double-struts or mispositioned. But the other two struts, created by a simple Circular Pattern are even more goofed up, and NOT connected to the rocket body as they're supposed to, and as they appear in the original,. not-Scaled, version.

ANY IDEA why this is happening?

The main reason is you do not have any assembly Joints in the model. You also have the main rocket body as a Body and not a Component. I converted the body into a component and then added As-Built Rigid Joints between the main rocket body and all the other components. This adds joints between the Origins of the components to each other. The I scaled it using the Origin of the assembly as the scale point. Model is attached.

THANK YOU for taking the time to look into my issue. I really appreciate that. But it seems that it's not really necessary to do all that. I tried a few approaches and found that all I had to do was explicitly select the origin point of the overall design (down at the bottom) as the "Point", in the scale dialog, as the point around which the scaling is done. Previously I had just let the Scale dialog select one by itself. Just selecting the entire model caused the dialog to fill in not just the Entities but also (by default, apparently) the Point, and that's what resulted in such weird scaling.

Here's my model after scaling it down from 80 feet tall to just 18 inches tall. Looks pretty good!
