Creating a wooden stand for bartender tools: how to punch "holes" for irregular shapes

Hello everyone, my apologies for the decidedly "noob" question. I've just jumped from SketchUp to Fusion360 for my woodworking needs and trying to iron the kinks out... aka learn everything.

My current project is a wooden stand for a bartender kit - I've modeled each piece to scale, aligned them the way I want and now I need to actually cut the holes/slots in the top wooden plate. And that, I have no idea how: is there a way to select specific faces and project them on the plate, in order to extrude the holes? Am I missing a specific tool? Do I need to measure each hole by hand and use the hole tool?

Or did I basically screw up the entire design process and need to start from scratch?

Hi,

1. create a sketch on the face and project (CREATE > Project or shortcut P) the body into this sketch > create and position the holes

2. Extrude cut the holes

Perfect, you are set up for Modify > Combine > Cut, Keep Tools

Target Body is being Cut, with all those Tool bodies. (Might need to work on clearance)
