Hi, still fairly new to fusion and I would like to put this beige coloured pattern around my object, but I don't know the best way to do that.

Reference imageMy model so far

I know you can project sketches and use the emboss tool, but I don't think they provide enough flexibility to achieve the same result. Any help is appreciated!

Sheet Metal > Unfold,

then Solid modelling and Combine Join the bodies

then Back to Sheet Metal > Refold.

For all that to work, your File needs to be configured in such a way that it can happen.

Might help....

I created a simple, similar, body and added a half round feature to the surface of it to illustrate what you need to do. @davebYYPCU has already mentioned the method which I used with one small difference. He suggest Combining the sheet metal with the base model, I Split the sheet metal body in two so the half round feature remained. My Screencast only touches on the highlights, if you are new to Fusion 360 the process outlined is a big jump. If you do not understand a particular section, let me know. The model I used in the Screencast is attached. You should get in the habit of sharing your model if you are asking questions about it.

Thank you so much! Your video was really useful. Just one more question, is it possible to rotate the camera in a way like the arrow shown below but not just at 90 degrees? Just so it makes it easier to place objects on the unfolded area.

Using the control indicated you can only get 90 degrees rotation. There could be other methods to get precision views, one that comes to mind is to place a work plane at the angle you need and use the Look At command to look at the plane. This may be more work than it is worth because getting the plane in the right place can be a challenge sometimes. You also might try using Named Views once you find the view your want. You will find Named Views at the top of the Browser.
