Convert to T-Splines creates strange look

Hello,

So I have this extruded body where I want to shiftthe top face to the middle of the hole and the rest of the body adopts.
Therefore I wanted to convert it into a form but with this result of the top face having this overhanging "roof":

Any ideas what's going on? Or did I use the "Convert" tool in a wrong way?

Btw. around the hole will be 4 of these items. The function is a clamping, that the foot can't fall out of a metal sheet, when a screw is threaded into the foot.

Hi,

first of all at this case when use convert all faces should has equal divide (see the photo )
then I want to use "weld vertices" tool for join all faces together (to become as one single geometry) with check " keep creases "
then I use" fill hole " tool , check keep creases with collapse

No, I mean not "tilting the top face" 😅
I want to shift it parallel to the base of the foot that it moves closer to the middle of the hole. When I put a screw through the hole, then it will push these 4 pieces outwards.

Hi, can you please make a screencast of your tool usage?
I don't get it, especially the welding doesn't work, as I can't (don't know how to) select the correct objects.
As this fails, of course, I can't use the "Fill Hole" tool.
I looked for a hint searching the internet, and wasn't successful. How did you learn these steps?

Hm I'm still struggling.
Here in Fusion and in your screencast I noticed, that using the selection frame in welding actually doesn't select anything after you release the mouse button.
Only when I click on single vertices, then it also shows them as selected. But there is no chain selection of several.
Please check back. Also I saw, that the top contour was already welded after the converting.

I check everything there is no any wrong
follow my steps at the screencast and make a screencast to see what you do "

note : "using the selection frame in welding actually doesn't select anything after you release the mouse button." ..
it selected all vertices but not showing so "just press OK " and (don't) select single vertices .
top contour was already welded because when I welded all faces that allow me to use fill hole and no need wild tool here .

and don't forget to check "keep creases " active

Unfortunately, you have not presented it that way so far.

This is also possible without Formtool.

Thank you for this idea with the sweep.
I also found out that for the clamping to work, I need it like in my solution, because when the screw is in, the little pegs have to bend outwards beyond their footprint on the bottom .
